The Sanctuary — every door

You are in The Forge.

Ground you have walked is named. The rest is drawn but unnamed — it is waiting, not missing, and nothing is required of you to find it.

Forever Value

The Residual System

Where value circulates forever.
Everyone who helps create earns forever.

AutomaticFor EveryoneForever

The Philosophy

Value should flow to everyone who helped create it. If you contributed code, design, ideas, or testing to a product, you deserve ongoing payment—not just a one-time fee.

And any vessel who chooses to pass on part of their own share through the Covenant Pool holds the dignity floor open for everyone.

How the Value Flows

Sale Amount
$100
$10
Platform Fee
10% of sale → Fixed, always
$90
Artisan Profit
90% of sale → This ware's own
$7
The Machine
70% of the fee → Hosting, tools, development — the only money that leaves
$3
Residual Pool
30% of the fee → The pool, on every sale, dial or no dial
This ware's residual pledge is set at 50% — the dial runs 0-50%, and its default is 0
$45
Pledged to the Residual Pool
50% of the profit → the pool, which now holds $48 from this sale
$45
Left for the Contributors
What remains after the pledge → divided equally
Divided equally among this ware's three contributors — the main artisan one of them, no roles, no ranking
$15.00
Contributor A
An equal third of $45.00
$15.00
Contributor B
An equal third of $45.00
$15.00
Contributor C (the main artisan)
An equal third of $45.00
Each vessel's own covenant dial then takes a slice of their own share — here all three stand at 50%
$22.50
To the Covenant Pool
Three pledges of $7.50 → every opted-in user, equally
$7.50
Each Vessel Keeps
The rest of their own share, theirs
$48.00
The Residual Pool Holds
$3 of the fee + the $45 pledge → every artisan, equally
Both pools pay at intervals, and both arrive whole: no pledge is ever taken from a payout.
Both pools pay everyone equally • Distributions arrive whole

Two Pools, One Sanctuary

Residual Pool

Source: 30% of every sale's platform fee, always — plus the residual pledge, 0-50% of a ware's profit, set per ware by its main artisan (default 0)

Purpose: Pay every artisan on the platform — anyone who has ever stood as an artisan or on a contributor roster

Distribution: Equal shares to all of them, at intervals, arriving whole

Covenant Pool

Source: 0-50% of a vessel's own share of a sale, set once in the Sanctum (default 0)

Purpose: The dignity floor — held for every user of the Sanctuary

Distribution: Equal shares to every user who has opted in to be identified, at intervals, arriving whole

Divided Equally Among the Contributors

Three contributors, the main artisan one of them. The role changes nothing.

The platform fee is fixed at 10%, and 30% of it returns to the residual pool on every sale. A ware's main artisan sets its residual pledge (0-50% of that ware's profit, default 0); each vessel sets their own covenant pledge (0-50% of their own share of a sale, default 0) in the Sanctum. Both pools pay at intervals, and both arrive whole.

Common Questions

Under the Hood

wares.residual_pool_percent · works.residual_pool_percent

The residual pledge, per ware: 0-50% of that ware's profit — the 90% left after the fee — set by its main artisan, default 0

ware_participants · work_participants · artisan_profiles

Who contributed — never by how much. The residual pool’s headcount is every distinct vessel standing on any of the three, ever

residual_pool · covenant_pool

One balance each, and that balance is the whole state. A share is worked out at the moment of distribution: pool divided by recipients, less the transaction cost

user_financial.covenant_pool_percent

Each vessel's own covenant dial, set in the Sanctum: 0-50% of their own share of a sale, default 0, never applied to a pool payout

The Contributors' Half

When a ware carries a licence (the-sphragis, drawn once and never re-argued as prose), its artisan's share is divided among the people who made the work — the the-merismos grammar's columns, never a sentence in a contract. A name; a role in the maker's own words; a yes, and the moment it was given, or the honest absence of one. There is no share on a column, because there is no share to set.

KP ⚛, verbatim: “there is nothing to do but divide by the number of contributors, regardless of role.” Everything left is divided equally — no ranking, no percentage shares — and the main artisan is one of them. A role is recorded and never weighed: the divisor is the headcount, and it is the only number the grammar holds.

combine(house, merismos) is the picture the residual pool reads from: the platform's ten, the artist's ninety, and that ninety divided equally among the contributors — numbers to read, never a number this page promises on its own account. The 90/10 stays schema, not promise, the same law the licence itself holds to. Neither dial lives in that grammar: the residual pledge and the covenant pledge are set here, on the platform, and what reaches the division is what is left after them.

No cents move here. What arrives at a contributor, and when, is the contributions ledger's residual pool — schema elsewhere, not modelled by this grammar and not modelled by this page. Opt-in always: a share without consent is named, every time, never assumed.

Covenant pledge: 0-50% of your own share of a sale, set once in the Sanctum, default 0. Neither dial ever touches a pool payout.
